Night Custodian - High School
Flowing Wells School District seeks a dependable Night Custodian to keep a high school clean, safe, and welcoming for students and staff.
Salary:
$16.35 per hour - commensurate with experience
Terms/Benefits:
2026-2027 School Year
12 month position -8.0 hours per day

General Information:
Maintains the school buildings in a neat and clean condition to provide a clean environment conducive to learning.
Qualifications & Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of 1 year of experience in custodial or related field.
Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license.
Flowing Wells Substitute Night Custodian experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively verbally.
Skills in methods, use of supplies and tools, and operation of equipment used in custodial work.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.
Ability to work cooperatively and courteously with staff, students, parents and community members.
Knowledge of applicable Federal and State laws, district procedures and Board policies.
Ability to handle confrontation and conflict without an emotional response.
Skills in time management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Sweeps, dusts, and mops floors, vacuums carpets, and dusts windows and furniture.
Wipes clean chalkboards and rails.
Removes graffiti, gum, candy, etc. from walls and under desks.
Empties wastebaskets and other trash containers.
Cleans window interiors/exteriors, and cleans and sanitizes bathroom fixtures.
Performs minor maintenance repairs.
Replaces lamps and bulbs as necessary.
Procures, stores, distributes and manages custodial supplies and equipment to insure maximum economy and effectiveness.
Locks and secures all areas of campus.
Complies with school district Safety Manual Rules and Regulations and OSHA requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
