Locksmith Technician
Flowing Wells invites a skilled Locksmith Technician to install, maintain, and secure district locks and doors; join a supportive, safety-focused team.
Salary:
$19.82 per hour - commensurate with experience

12 month position - 8.0 hours per day

General Information:
Performs preventive maintenance tasks and various maintenance duties on locks, high security locking systems (ASSA), manual and hydraulic door closers.
Qualifications & Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of 2 years experience within the structured environment of a service industry.
Experience in the installation and keying of ASSA locking mechanisms.
Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Knowledge and skills in locksmithing.
Knowledge of procurement methods.
Ability to work effectively with a minimum of supervision.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.
Ability to work cooperatively and courteously with staff, students, parents and community members.
Knowledge of applicable Federal and State laws, district procedures and Board policies.
Ability to handle confrontation and conflict without an emotional response.
Skills in time management.
Essential Duties & Responsbilities:
Installs new cylinders and locking mechanisms for the District’s designated ASSA devices and the other related existing equipment.
Checks and repairs all locking mechanisms.
Cuts and issues new keys and maintains proper lock codes for keying systems.
Maintains all locksmith related hardware and lock records.
Initiates locksmith purchases.
Provides assistance on all security issues regarding locks and door hardware.
Performs preventative maintenance on all locking devices, door hardware and closers of all types.
Assesses and makes all necessary repairs and modifications to hydraulic door closers and panic hardware.
Complies with school Safety Manual Rules and Regulations and satisfies OSHA requirements.
